Perfekt
Pros:

Frühstück kann ich nicht beurteilen weil ich keines gebucht hatte wegen meiner Weiterreise. Der Preis, die Leistungen und der Standort war einfach nur Perfekt. ich war in einer Minute schon im Bahnhof. Das Einchecken am Automaten dauerte nur 3 Minuten und das Auschecken ca 10 Sekunden. Kann ich bestens weiter empfehlen.

Pros:

Die Nähe zum Bahnhof. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, die Klimaanlage funktionierte einwandfrei bei den Temperaturen was das super. Das Badezimmer war sauber und ausreichend groß. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr hilfsbereit.

Furchtbare Lage. Man watet durch Urin, Kotze und aggressive Migranten. Die Stadt sollte sich für diesen Bahnhof schämen. Kein besonderes Frühstück, nicht so nette Mitarbeiter.

No Service No hospitality
Pros:

Sadly to report that my intercity experience was very negative during my 2 nights stay during May 24 - 25, 2026. We did self-check-in, self-housekeeping, and self-check-out and received no services or hospitality. Even a very minimal housekeeping request for clean towels to be sent to the room, due to no room cleaning provided, was not even met; I end up picking it up personally. This was not a full-service hotel experience. For more details, please refer to my email communication with the Front Office Manager Re: Confirmation numberR9007307206124153001 [Expedia itinerary72070243120928] between May 31 – June 11, 2026.

Few key points to address:
1. Housekeeping is a basic essential service and providing routine daily room cleaning is standard for full service hotels. Apparently, this was not the case at IntercityHotel Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof Süd, where require guests to “request room cleaning one day in advance”, otherwise room housekeeping is not provided. This was an unpleasant surprising discovery. I feel strongly that such rule is irrational, not only causing inconvenience but unreasonable - as guests have paid for the full services price; therefore, they are entitled for daily housekeeping unconditionally. Guests should not be forced to obey such irrationality of the system. I suggest intercity to make improvement for better business practice, as others in hotels/hospitality industry - provide a “no housekeeping today” sign for guests to hang on their door knob if they don’t need room serviced for the day to be both environmental friendly and guest friendly.

2. Most importantly, IntercityHotel [Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof Süd] failed to disclose its limited services, such as “room cleaning on request” to guests up front, this is unprofessional and unacceptable. Limited services such as this must be truthfully disclosed at booking/ reservation (then I would not book such hotel), not to found out by unpleasant surprise at staying. The hotel website mentions nothing about room cleaning must be request one day in advance, but advertising for luxury and listed 24 housekeeping availability. Building it in a “pop-up window” and “in room” for such information are just unprofessional defensive mechanisms for shifting the blame to the guests.

3. An additional suggestion is to move the entrance self-check-in machines into the reception lobby to boost reception presence and hospitality image (instead of meet the machines as first impression), and the first-time guests will not miss them as we did when checking-in. This move will also benefit guests with self-check-in assistance as needed.

These issues require management attention for revolution. Hotel is a service oriented business, when essential services (i.e, housekeeping) were not rendered in full, guests are entitled for refund for the full price paid. This is a business principle. Therefore, I entitle for 50% of refund of my full payment and request for the refund to be received within 7 days without further delay.

Pros:

Das Bahnhofsviertel ist natürlich etwas grenzwertig, aber die nahe Lage war unübertrefflich. Es waren ca. 20 m zwischen dem Seitenausgang des Bahnhofs und dem Hoteleingang.
