I enjoyed my stay and would recommend considering Casa Duranta for your stay in Coban.
Pros:

Casa Duranta is located close to the center of town, but it was secure, quiet, and had a lovely courtyard and dining/lounging area.

Cons:

I had two rooms during my stay. The first room (#6 or #5?) was a small single room that was probably the least favorable room as its windows opened to the garage and the laundry room. During my second stay I was given a room with two double or queen beds that was in a newly renovated part of the hotel. An extremely nice room off another courtyard. Other rooms around the courtyards all looked very nice.

Beautiful colonial house full of character and charm , gorgeous garden and bedrooms.

We loved it!

Cons:

The front of house staff are not knowledgeable about public transport options (only taxis) or local distances- we were told Orquigonia was 1h by taxi but it was only 15 minutes!

Pleasant stay with helpful staff
Pros:

Basic but pretty and pleasant hotel in central Coban. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Courtyard garden is beautiful.

Cons:

Beds were a bit hard for me.

Absolute Gem-- Garden Oasis
Pros:

What a gem! This place exceeded expectations. In the centre of the busting town, lies this gorgeous garden oasis with large flowering trees and plants, tastefully decorated lounge areas and spacious rooms, in an enclosed secure garden space. The staff was fantastic and so helpful. We also had a car and there was free parking down the road. 100% recommend.
