This is my go to place in Bangkok when I pass through. Close to the BTS, Aussie Bar in Soi 7/1 and close to shops and restaurants.
Bangkok traffic can be quite jammed getting to Sukhumvit along the toll way. A trip from Don Mueang can sometimes take over a hour because of the traffic jam.

The Syama was very central great if you use the BTS, staff very friendly beds good, nice shower, very close to nana plaza, and Sukhumvit 11, great indian next door, i went there twice.
I was in room 306 overlooking soi 13 very loud till 2am, no tea or coffee but there is a kettle and cups, i could hear people laughing and joking untill 5,30am not good at all.
