Located a short distance from Bogota, the lagoon is in a stunning natural setting surrounded by mountains and vegetation. On the way there, we are sure you will love the picturesque walk through the Andean mountains, where you can enjoy breathtaking views.
There, according to legend, the Muiscas practiced ceremonies by throwing gold objects with precious stones into the lagoon of Guatavita. However, once the Spanish learned of the ritual, history went around the world and became the dream of many Europeans who came to the place in search of gold.
Afterwards, we will also visit a popular attraction that will play with your mind: The Mad House. It is a sloping construction that, based on optical illusions, will provide you with a perfect moment of fun for your photos.
