If booked with ferry tickets we will pick you up at your accommodation or you can opt to meet us at Mindelo port, 6:30 a.m. Board the ferry to Santo Antão. The crossing takes up to one hour, and you arrive in Porto Novo at 8:00 a.m., where your guide meets you.

Highland road and Alto Mira, 30-minute walk The road twists through hairpin turns with sweeping views over volcanic peaks and plunging ravines. At Alto Mira you take a 30-minute walk with panoramas over the northwest coast. Wear comfortable walking shoes and sun protection.

Lunch at Babilónia, Lagedos A traditional meal at an authentic local restaurant that supports the local women’s association. Members bottle jams in small glass jars that you can buy to take home. Return to Porto Novo, 3:00 p.m. Scenic drive back to the porto town of Porto Novo where the tour ends.

If booked with ferry tickets: Porto Novo port, 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Time to relax at the port before the ferry to São Vicente departs at 4:00 p.m. It arrives in Mindelo at 5:00 p.m. Guests who prefer to stay longer can spend the night on Santo Antão and choose their own return date.
