Our tour starts at Marina da Gloria, the most traditional and modern marina in Rio de Janeiro, and the sailing venue of the 2016 Olympic Games. Great facilities welcome you comfortably while you wait for the tour to begin.
We sail along Flamengo and Botafogo beaches and make a photo stop right next to Sugarloaf Mountain, in Urca, before continuing past the historic forts guarding Guanabara Bay.
We cross into Niteroi past the forts of Sao Joao, Lage and Santa Cruz and stop for a swim of about 20 minutes at Adao e Eva Beach, a highlight of the sunset sail.
We sail on towards Boa Viagem Island, passing close to the Niteroi Museum of Contemporary Art, before heading back to Marina da Gloria as the sun sets over Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer.
