This self-guided ghost quest takes you on walk through the heart of Madrid.
Using the Questo app on your smartphone, you follow Velázquez's search at 12 stops: from Plaza de Santiago and Plaza Ramales, where his burial church once stood, to the Puerta del Sol, the Museo del Jamón, the world's oldest theatre at Teatro Español, and the Velázquez monument outside the Prado Museum. Solve cryptic riddles, encounter royal ghosts, and piece together the mystery of a lost body.
Best after dark. A phone flashlight may help with clues. Explore Madrid's historic streets at your own pace. Do not enter the venues.
