  • Europa Hotel (Pass by)

Once known as the most bombed hotel in Europe, the Europa was hit around 30 times during the Troubles yet kept its doors open. Since opening in 1971 it has hosted presidents and celebrities, including Bill Clinton on his 1995 visit, and is now a symbol of Belfast’s resilience.

  • (Pass by)

Opposite the Europa stands one of the finest Victorian gin palaces anywhere. Remodelled in 1885, the Crown dazzles with coloured tiles, stained glass, carved wood and gas lamps, and its private snugs still have bell pushes. The National Trust has owned it since 1978.

  • Grand Opera House (Pass by)

The tour passes by the opera house.

  • Assembly Buildings - Belfast (Pass by)

Topped by a soaring crown spire, the Assembly Buildings on Fisherwick Place opened in 1905 as the headquarters of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Its Scottish Gothic style reflects the Ulster-Scots roots of the faith that shaped so much of Belfast’s history and character.
