  Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) (Pass By)As we cross the Chao Phraya River on your way to Thonburi, you’ll catch a beautiful glimpse of Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn. This iconic riverside temple is one of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks, with its central Khmer-style prang (tower) rising elegantly above the water, adorned with intricate porcelain mosaics that shimmer in the sunlight. - Please note that we will NOT get off at Wat Arun. You will only see it from the river while on your way to Thonburi.

  Baan Silapin

  Baan Silapin Tucked away along the peaceful banks of Khlong Bang Luang (Bang Luang Canal) on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River lies one of Bangkok’s hidden gems: a charming riverside community where time seems to slow down. This historic neighborhood is made up of traditional wooden houses, small local shops, and family-run galleries connected by a wooden walkway that follows the edge of the canal. It offers a rare glimpse into what everyday life in Bangkok used to be like, long before the city’s skyline was dominated by concrete and glass. At the heart of the community is Baan Silapin, or The Artist’s House, a beautifully restored wooden home over 200 years old. Dedicated to preserving and celebrating Thai culture, this house functions as a small art center where visitors can enjoy rotating art exhibitions and handmade crafts. Wandering through the area, you’ll find small shops, cozy riverside cafes, and friendly locals who’ve lived here for generations.

  Wat Pho Thai Traditional Massage School

  WatPo Thai Traditional Massage School Wat Pho is one of the oldest temples in the Thai capital. It is also one of the largest temple complexes in Bangkok and has the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand. Wat Pho maintains the title as the country’s earliest center for public education, specializing in religion, science and literature. Most of the Buddha images on display were brought to Wat Pho, by order of King Rama I, from abandoned temples in Ayutthaya and Sukhothai. And of course you'll visit the reclining Buddha, one of the largest Buddha statues in Thailand.

  Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun)

  Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) A stay in the Thai capital is not complete without visiting Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, one of Bangkok's most famous landmarks. After the fall of Ayutthaya, King Taksin established a royal palace and temple here to house the Emerald Buddha. The temple was named after the Indian god of dawn, Aruna. It wasn't until the capital and the Emerald Buddha were moved to Wat Phra Kaew at the Bangkok side that Wat Arun received its most prominent characteristic: the 82 meters high prang (Khmer-style tower). Wat Arun is decorated with ornate floral mosaics made from broken Chinese porcelain, a common temple ornamentation in the early Rattanakosin period, when Chinese ships calling at the port of Bangkok used tonnes of old porcelain as ballast.

• The Grand Palace (Pass by)

  The Grand Palace The glittering Grand Palace in Bangkok is an architectural wonder that was once home to the kings of the Chakri Dynasty. The palace was built in 1782 by the Rama I, the first king of the Chakri Dynasty, when he moved the capital of what was then known as the Kingdom of Siam from Thonburi on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River to Bangkok on the east bank. For 150 years the palace was the home of the Thai King. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom. NOTE 1: We do not go inside the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, but only see it from the outside.

• Sao Chingcha (the Giant Swing) (Pass by)

  Sao Chingcha (the Giant Swing) The Giant Swing is a religious structure. It was formerly used in an old Brahmin ceremony. If you want to show a photo of Bangkok’s landmark to your friends or family, the Giant Swing or Sao Chingcha is one of the best choices! It is located in the heart of Bangkok and in front of the first rank royal temple, Wat Suthat.

  Wat Ratchanatdaram Woravihara (Loha Prasat)

  Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan Located on the grounds of Wat Ratchanatdaram, Loha Prasat is also known as the “metal castle”. It was built in 1846 under the patronage of King Rama III and inspired by two other similar temples in India and Sri Lanka. Loha Prasat is one of the most outstanding pieces of architecture in Bangkok. NOTE 1: We do not go inside the Loha Prasat, but only see it from the outside.

  Pak Khlong Flower Talat Original

  Pak Khlong Flower Talat Original Pak Khlong Talat is Thailand’s largest wholesale flower market and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Pak Khlong Talat means 'market at the mouth of the canal' in Thai. The area originally started as a floating market in the early 18th century. Later, in the 19th century, the area became a large fish market. In the 1950s the area eventually developed into the current Flower Market.
