We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Moshi, Arusha or upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro/Arusha airports. at the airports we will be holding a printed paper of your name on it. Karibu!
What to expect
Your day normally begins around 8:30 AM with pickup from your hotel in Arusha, although guests can choose their preferred starting time depending on their schedule. The experience starts at The Tanzanite Experience, home to the world’s only Tanzanite museum, where visitors learn how this rare gemstone — found only in Tanzania — is formed, mined, graded, cut, and polished. Guests can explore the museum exhibits, replica mine shaft, and certified Tanzanite showroom with the opportunity to purchase authentic certified gemstones directly from trusted sources.
Continue to Shanga Foundation, a unique social enterprise that creates employment opportunities for people with disabilities through handmade jewelry, glassware, textiles, paintings, and recycled art. Guests can walk through the open workshops to see local artisans at work while supporting a meaningful community initiative. Shanga also features a Tanzanite and gift shop with locally crafted products.
Afterward, guests may choose to visit another trusted Tanzanite boutique in Arusha known locally for competitive prices and a relaxed shopping environment. The experience remains flexible throughout the day, and guests are welcome to request stops at specific jewelry shops, local boutiques, cafés, or restaurants within Arusha depending on their interests.
The final stop is the famous Cultural Heritage Centre, one of East Africa’s largest art galleries and cultural shopping centers, featuring African artwork, gemstones, antiques, fashion, sculptures, and souvenirs from across the continent.
Guests can request a lunch stop at any time during the experience. Airport pickup or drop-off from Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport can also be arranged with the guide at an additional cost depending on location and timing.
