Please come directly to ASIAN SPICE KING. The venue is located on the 1st floor of Ainoya Building in Sarugakucho, Shibuya. Please arrive 10–15 minutes before the start time. If you have trouble finding the venue, please check the building name and restaurant sign.

What to expect

Create your own Japanese calligraphy artwork in Shibuya, Tokyo. In this beginner-friendly cultural experience, you will learn basic brush techniques, write your name in kanji or choose a meaningful Japanese character, and complete your artwork with brush and ink. Your instructor will explain the meaning behind your chosen kanji and guide you step by step, so no Japanese language or calligraphy experience is needed. For June, you will also add soft seasonal colors inspired by Japan’s rainy season, called tsuyu, including gentle rain, colorful umbrellas, and hydrangeas. Enjoy 2 drinks during the experience, take photos, and bring home your finished artwork as a unique memory from Tokyo.
