It is a very docile animal that is just as impressive as any other animal found in the Caribbean Sea. The whale shark is completely harmless, its main source of food is plankton, so it does not represent a danger to our travelers, not leaving aside the great and incredible feeling of swimming near them and admire these beautiful animals. This is a life experience that you must do at least once in your life, imagine having a picture of yourself with the whale shark swimming side by side, what an incredible memory.
Finally, after the Whale Shark view, we will sail to Isla Mujeres. Here you can visit the beautiful beaches of Isla Mujeres, we will take you to the famous beach called Playa Norte which is known worldwide for its incredible and amazing beauty.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Please arrive between 8:15 to 8:30 am for check in. The exact meeting location and directions will be provided once your reservation is confirmed. We do not have departures on the 31st of each month due to Whale Shark Conservation Day.
What to expect
The first experience of the day takes place at Ixlaché Reef, with a guided snorkeling session in beautiful, crystal-clear waters. In this area, guests may also encounter whale sharks in their natural habitat, depending on seasonal conditions.
After snorkeling, the trip continues to the stunning Isla Contoy, a protected natural reserve. Upon arrival, guests register and are briefed on the island’s conservation rules. A local certified guide will then lead a walking tour through its trails, visiting the bird sanctuary, observation tower, and museum while sharing insights about its ecosystem and history.
A traditional lunch is served in a palapa area, prepared by the crew with local flavors. Afterward, guests have time to relax and enjoy the beach.
Later, the tour proceeds to Isla Mujeres, where guests can explore the island, shop, or simply enjoy free time before heading back to Marina Punta Sam.
