If you like awesome and unique activities, then this activity is for you. Welcome to the Whale Shark experience, this is a unique activity in the world and is the most enigmatic activity in Mexico. Imagine swimming next to an immense animal like the whale shark. This animal is completely harmless since it feeds on plankton and it does not represent a danger for our travelers.
Amaze yourself by feeling a great and incredible sensation of swimming near them and admiring these beautiful animals. This is a life experience that you must live at least once in your life, imagine having a picture of yourself with the whale shark swimming side by side.
Finally, after the Whale Shark view, we will sail to Isla Mujeres. Here you can visit the beautiful beaches of Isla Mujeres, we will take you to the famous beach called Playa Norte which is known worldwide for its incredible and amazing beauty. In this activity, you will have a memorable time and you will live an incredible experience.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Please arrive between 8:15 to 8:30 am for check in. The exact meeting location and directions will be provided once your reservation is confirmed. We do not have departures on the 31st of each month due to Whale Shark Conservation Day.
What to expect
Your first stop is Ixlaché Reef, where you’ll enjoy a guided snorkeling experience in clear turquoise waters. In this area, there is also a chance to see whale sharks in their natural habitat, depending on the season and conditions.
Next, you’ll head to Isla Contoy, a beautiful protected island. After check-in and a short briefing on conservation rules, a certified guide will take you on a walk through the island’s trails, including the bird sanctuary, viewpoint tower, and museum.
Lunch is served in a traditional palapa with local dishes prepared by the crew, followed by free time to relax on the beach.
In the afternoon, the journey continues to Isla Mujeres, where you’ll have free time to explore, shop, and enjoy the island before returning to Marina Punta Sam.
