Before or after booking, choose 2 or 3 stops maximum from the following four available places: Fátima Tomar Coimbra Aveiro Choosing 2 stops creates a more relaxed transfer day. Choosing 3 stops creates a fuller sightseeing daywith shorter time in each place. Choosing all 4 stops is not recommended because it makes the day toorushed.
Choose Fátima if you want a reflective, religious or spiritual stop. The Sanctuary of Fátima can include orientation around the sanctuary square, the Chapel of the Apparitions area, the basilicas and time for observation or personal prayer. This stop can be adapted for both pilgrims and travelers who want to understand the site respectfully.
Tomar — Convent of Christ Choose Tomar if you want one of Portugal’s most important historical monuments. The Convent of Christ is closely connected to the Knights Templar and the Order of Christ, with architecture that reflects medieval, Manueline and later monastic layers. This is one of the strongest cultural stops available on the route.
Coimbra — Historic Centre Orientation Choose Coimbra if you prefer academic heritage, historic streets and cultural depth. This concise orientation introduces Portugal’s university city and its layered identity of knowledge, faith and royal memory. This is not designed as a full Coimbra tour, but as a meaningful stop within a Porto-to-Lisbon journey.
University of Coimbra — Joanina Library, Royal Palace and Chapel of São Miguel If selected, visit the University of Coimbra, including its most emblematic spaces: Joanina Library, the former Royal Palace spaces and the Chapel of São Miguel. This experience offers a layered understanding of knowledge, ceremony and political authority in one of Europe’s oldest universities.
Lunch is intentionally flexible and not included in the base price. Depending on your selected route, lunch may take place in or near one of the chosen cities. Guests may choose a relaxed meal, a lighter stop or a quicker lunch depending on the pace of the day.
Choose Aveiro if you prefer a lighter, colourful and visually oriented stop. This compact visit can include the canal-front atmosphere, façades and the Aveiro Railway Station azulejo panels. The stop is designed for clarity and minimal walking, making it ideal for travelers who want a scenic pause during the Porto-to-Lisbon journey.
If selected, visit the Noeirinha Natural Sea Salt Factory for an introduction to Aveiro’s traditional salt culture. This experience explains how salt production shaped the city’s economy, landscape and lagoon identity.
If selected, enjoy a relaxed 45-minute moliceiro boat ride through Aveiro’s canals. From the water, bridges, façades and canal edges reveal a different rhythm of the city.
