Start the day with private pickup from your hotel or agreed accommodation in Lisbon. Your luggage travels with you in the vehicle, making this a practical and comfortable city-to-city transfer with sightseeing built in. Begin the northbound route with contextual commentary from your licensed driver-guide. The day’s routing is adapted according to selected stops, traffic, timing and desired Porto arrival.
Begin with Óbidos, one of Portugal’s most evocative medieval towns. Enjoy a concise walk through the historic centre, adapted to the pace and interests of the group. Explore whitewashed streets, cobbled lanes, viewpoints, castle surroundings and the atmosphere of a walled hilltop settlement.
Continue toward the Atlantic coast and the seaside town of Nazaré, one of the most visually powerful stops between Lisbon and Porto.
Arrive at the Sítio of Nazaré, the elevated clifftop area that gives the clearest view of the town, beach and Atlantic coastline. This stop delivers strong visual impact with very little walking.
When timing and conditions allow, continue toward the Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo and lighthouse area. This stop adds coastal scale, historical context and a powerful view toward Praia do Norte, known worldwide for giant waves and big-wave surf culture.
Lunch is intentionally flexible and not included in the base price. Nazaré is often the most natural lunch point, with the option of a seaside restaurant, seafood-focused meal or lighter stop depending on preference and timing.
Choose Fátima if you want a reflective, spiritual or religious stop. The visit can include orientation around the sanctuary square, the Chapel of the Apparitions area, the basilicas and time for observation or prayer.
Choose Aveiro if you prefer a light, colourful and visually attractive opening. This compact visit introduces the city’s canals, façades, canal-front atmosphere and Aveiro Railway Station azulejo panels. The stop is designed for clarity and minimal walking, making it ideal for travelers who want a scenic pause before continuing south.
If selected, visit the Noeirinha Natural Sea Salt Factory for an introduction to Aveiro’s traditional salt culture. This experience explains how salt production shaped the city’s economy, landscape and lagoon identity.
If selected, enjoy a relaxed 45-minute moliceiro boat ride through Aveiro’s canals. From the water, bridges, façades and canal edges reveal a different rhythm of the city.
