  Choose Aveiro if you prefer a lighter, colourful and visually oriented stop. This compact visit can include the canal-front atmosphere, façades and the Aveiro Railway Station azulejo panels.   Tomar — Convent of Christ Choose Tomar if you want one of Portugal’s most important historical monuments. The Convent of Christ is closely connected to the Knights Templar and the Order of Christ, with architecture that reflects medieval, Manueline and later monastic layers. This is one of the strongest cultural stops available on the route.
