A magnificent complex at the heart of Jaipur, the City Palace was once the seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. It houses the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal, along with courtyards, museums, and gardens. The architecture is a stunning fusion of Rajput, Mughal, and European styles, and parts of the palace still serve as a royal residence.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this 18th-century astronomical observatory was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. It features the world’s largest stone sundial and a collection of architectural instruments used to measure time, track celestial bodies, and predict eclipses—an extraordinary blend of science and art.
