Guests should come directly to our reception desk at the meeting location. Staff will be available at the reception area to welcome guests. The entrance can be easily identified by the traditional Japanese noren curtain displayed at the storefront.

What to expect

Are you curious to know what a Japanese family eats at home? We want to show you Japanese cuisine beyond what is popular, such as sushi and ramen.

Make traditional Japanese home cooked meals with a seasoned chef.

The menu is as follows:
-A main course using a seasonal Kyoto vegetable
-Miso soup
-Rice ball

We will then enjoy the meal together, surrounding a table in our beautiful machiya. Experience a glimpse of everyday life in Japan.

The cooking class will be held at a machiya that is nationally recognized as an Important Cultural Property and historically significant landmark. We are excited to share its rich history with you.

*The number of participants are a minimum of two and a maximum of six.
*Our dedicated staff are experts in a variety of arts ranging from tea ceremony to calligraphy, but not all of them are fluent in English. We will try our best to provide you with an interpreter, but a translation device may be used for communication instead.
