What to expect
After lunch, we will reach Assisi and meet our Guide to explore the City of Peace. Pax et Bonum! – the greeting that welcomes visitors to this Franciscan city known throughout the world. Assisi is the birthplace of St. Francis, where he was baptized, spent his youth, renounced earthly goods, began his peace mission and finally died in 1226. Today, his spirit lives on in every stone of the city, from the Basilica of St. Francis to its charming alleys. Enjoy a guided walk through Assisi and its most significant Franciscan places.
