Departure from Barcelona to start the route in the Penedès region, one of the great wine-growing areas of Catalonia and an essential reference for both the quality of its wines and its historic link to cava. The visit will be completed with a cava tasting, ideal to discover one of the most representative expressions of the Penedès and enjoy an elegant wine experience closely linked to the territory. Already in the Priorat, you will visit a contemporary winery, located in a spectacular setting of sloping vineyards, where architecture, landscape and viticulture are integrated in a very special way. This stop allows you to delve into the uniqueness of the Priorat, better understand the difficulties and value of mountain viticulture, and discover how the territory decisively marks the personality of its wines. After the visit, exit by road to Zaragoza, where the day will end.
Departure from Zaragoza to continue the route to La Rioja, one of the most renowned wine regions of Spain and a must stop within this wine tour. The first visit of the day will be to Vivanco, a reference within the wine culture in Spain, ideal for delving into the history, wine tradition and cultural dimension surrounding wine in this region. This stop allows us to better understand the identity of La Rioja and its importance within the national wine landscape. Afterwards, the route will continue to the Rioja Alavesa to visit Marqués de Riscal, one of the most emblematic wineries in northern Spain. After the visits, continue to Miranda de Ebro, where the accommodation will be made.
Departure from Miranda de Ebro to continue the route to Aranda de Duero, one of the most representative towns of Ribera del Duero and a key stop to understand the wine history of this region. The first visit of the day will be to a traditional underground winery, a very special experience that allows to discover the most historic and authentic origin of wine culture in this area. Touring these excavated spaces underground helps to understand how wine was once preserved and made, bringing a very valuable heritage dimension to the journey. Afterwards, the day will continue with the visit to a prestigious winery in the Ribera del Duero, which may be Protos or Emilio Moro, depending on availability and the approach you want to give to the experience. After the tours, exit by road to Madrid, where the tour will end.
