Departure from Barcelona to start the route with a first stop in Tarragona, a city with a strong historical heritage and one of the most important Roman ensembles in the Mediterranean. This visit provides a first cultural block of great value before continuing along the coast.
Afterwards, the route will continue to Peñíscola, one of the most beautiful towns on the coast, known for its old walled town and the spectacular image of its castle by the sea. Here you will stop for lunch, enjoying the Mediterranean atmosphere in one of the most charming villages of this part of the tour.

After breakfast, leave from Valencia to begin a transition day between the Mediterranean and the historic center of Spain. The first stop will be in Alarcón, a small walled villa with a marked medieval character, located in a very unique setting on the river. Its historical layout, defensive profile and the tranquility of the place make it a very interesting stop to break the journey with a first heritage contact.
From there, the route will continue to Consuegra, one of the most important recognizable from Castile-La Mancha. The silhouette of its windmills and its castle on the hill provide one of the most representative prints of the interior of Spain, and make this stop a very visual point within the route. It is also a good opportunity to introduce the Manchego landscape and add a clear contrast to the Mediterranean coast the day before.
Then continue to Toledo, one of the great monumental cities of the country and a must stop before arriving in Madrid. Its profile on the Tagus, the richness of its historic center and the coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Muslim heritages make this visit contribute the great cultural block of the day. After the tour of the city and the stop for lunch, final exit to Madrid, where the itinerary will end.
