Travel from Hurghada to Cairo in an air-conditioned vehicle with a licensed Egyptologist guide. Stand before the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx, which have watched over the plateau for more than 4,500 years, and take in the view from the panoramic viewpoint. Then explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection, and enjoy an Egyptian open-buffet lunch at a local restaurant before the return journey. Entry to the Giza Pyramids plateau and the museum is included. Please note this is a long day: around 11 hours are spent on the road, with rest stops along the way.

Meeting and pickup
Departure is at 01:00 on your tour date from central Hurghada, so pickup takes place in the early hours of that day (the night before). Depending on your hotel's location, pickup will be between 00:30 and 01:30. Our team will confirm your exact pickup time via WhatsApp after booking; please share your hotel name and room number. Pickup is included from all hotels in Hurghada. A supplement of EUR 5 per person applies for El Gouna and Sahl Hasheesh.

1Pyramids of Giza
Your Egyptologist guide leads you across the Giza Plateau, home to the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. See the Great Pyramid of Khufu up close alongside the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, then stop at the panoramic viewpoint for the classic photo of all the pyramids together. Finish at the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre, where your guide explains how the pyramids were built and why. Entry to the plateau is included; entry inside the Great Pyramid is optional and payable on site.

2Great Sphinx
Come face to face with the Great Sphinx, the lion-bodied guardian of the Giza Plateau carved from a single ridge of limestone. Your guide shares the legends and history behind it, with time for photos from the Valley Temple terrace. Included in your Giza Plateau entry.

3Grand Egyptian Museum
Step into the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world's largest archaeological museum, standing within sight of the Pyramids. Your journey begins in the Grand Hall, where a colossal statue of Ramses II welcomes you, then rises along the Grand Staircase, lined with royal statues and sarcophagi and framing a breathtaking view of the plateau. Twelve main galleries trace Egypt's story from its predynastic beginnings to the golden age of the New Kingdom, while the Tutankhamun Galleries reunite all 5,000-plus treasures from the boy king's tomb for the first time since its discovery in 1922 — the solid gold mask, the nested coffins, the gilded shrines, chariots and jewellery. The solar boat of King Khufu and the Hanging Obelisk complete the experience. Entry tickets sell out quickly, especially on Fridays and Saturdays.
