Pick-up at Tefé Airport at 1:30 PM. From there, transfer to the city’s port and board a speedboat for an exhilarating ride through the dark waters of Tefé Lake to the Meeting of the Waters, where the Tefé Lake merges with the Solimões River. Continue navigating along the Solimões and Japurá Rivers, exploring remote tributaries of the Amazon until reaching Amanã Lake and the Ubim Community base. Lunch served upon arrival. Evening at leisure and overnight at the community.
After breakfast at 7:00 AM, depart at 8:00 AM by boat for a birdwatching expedition—this region is home to dozens of bird species. Return for lunch at the community. In the afternoon, navigate to the first jungle campsite and set up camp. After dinner, go on an exciting night caiman spotting tour. Your guide may even catch one by hand, allowing you to observe this prehistoric Amazon predator up close. Overnight in camp.
After breakfast, begin a hike through the Amazon jungle. Learn essential survival skills: identifying edible plants, harvesting fruits, spotting insects, and understanding jungle navigation. Prepare dinner around the fire, traditional Amazon-style. Overnight in the jungle.
After breakfast, explore small channels and hidden creeks (season-dependent). Great chances to spot giant river otters, birds, and other rare species. Arrive at a new jungle site, prepare lunch, and set up camp. In the evening, take a short hike through a new section of the jungle. After dark, set out by boat with flashlights for a nighttime wildlife search—look and listen for snakes, nocturnal birds, and other jungle creatures. Overnight in the jungle.
After breakfast, hike to forage for edible resources such as fruits and larvae. Return to camp for lunch. In the afternoon, move to a new campsite and take part in traditional spear fishing to catch dinner. Overnight in camp.
Head into the jungle after breakfast to explore what’s edible, what’s poisonous, and how to identify dangerous insects or animals. Lunch at camp. Afternoon canoe trip for piranha fishing and setting up fishing nets. After dinner, join a silent night paddle to look for nocturnal wildlife—remember, 70% of the Amazon’s creatures are active at night. Overnight in the jungle.
Another hike through new terrain, looking for native fruits like Brazil nuts and discovering massive rainforest trees. Dinner back at camp. In the evening, join another night safari to observe more wildlife. Overnight in camp.
After breakfast, navigate deep into the upper igarapés (narrow forest waterways), followed by a jungle hike. Look for signs of larger land animals and follow their trails. In the evening, continue by boat into even more remote regions to search for wildlife far from any signs of civilization. Overnight in the deep jungle.
After breakfast, pack up and return by boat to the Ubim Community, arriving around noon. Enjoy lunch, followed by a free afternoon to explore the village, learn about the local lifestyle, and witness the manioc (cassava) processing. After dinner, attend a cultural presentation hosted by the community—a rich expression of Amazonian traditions. Overnight in the community.
After breakfast, pack up and return by boat to the Ubim Community, arriving around noon. Enjoy lunch, followed by a free afternoon to explore the village, learn about the local lifestyle, and witness the manioc (cassava) processing. After dinner, attend a cultural presentation hosted by the community—a rich expression of Amazonian traditions. Overnight in the community.
After breakfast, enjoy a morning canoeing experience with local guides—a peaceful farewell to the Amazon. Final lunch at the community. After packing, begin the journey back to Tefé by speedboat, with drop-off at your hotel around 4:00 PM.
