Offered in: English

Escape to one of Crete’s most magical settings on a private afternoon tour to Falasarna, a superb stretch of white sand and turquoise sea on the island’s western coast. You'll be picked up around midday from your accommodation in Chania and driven to this breathtaking beach, known for its open horizon and peaceful ambiance.
Once you arrive, you’ll have close to four hours of free time to relax your way — whether that’s swimming in crystal-clear waters, sunbathing, or grabbing a drink at a beachfront bar. For those who like a little action, there are water sports available when conditions allow.
As the day winds down, get ready for a truly unforgettable sunset. Falasarna faces due west, giving you an unobstructed view of the sun as it melts into the Aegean — a show of color that many say is the most beautiful on Crete.
Finally, when the sky begins to glow, you’ll head back to Chania, carrying memories of a calm, romantic, and deeply scenic evening by the sea.

Located on Crete’s western coast, Falasarna Beach lies about 59 km west of Chania and 12 km from Kissamos. It’s actually made up of several long, sandy bays—together stretching for around 3 km—with sections of white‑pink sand and clear, turquoise water. The area is part of the Natura 2000 network due to its ecological importance; its dunes host rare plant species, and the waters support diverse wildlife. Winds from the northwest can make the waves quite strong, which has led to good conditions for windsurfing. Falasarna is also archaeologically significant: to the north lie the remains of the ancient Hellenistic city of Falasarna, including fortification walls and a harbor. Facing due west, the beach offers uninterrupted views of the horizon, making its sunsets especially striking.
