A tranquil freshwater crater lake known for its calm waters and scenic beauty. Excellent for spotting Malachite Kingfishers, Pied Kingfishers, African Darters, Hamerkops, Little Egrets, and numerous waterbirds. The peaceful setting also makes it ideal for wildlife photography.

Lake Cheleleka A seasonal wetland recognized as one of Ethiopia's most important bird habitats. Depending on the season, visitors may see Yellow-billed Storks, African Spoonbills, Black-winged Stilts, Pied Avocets, ducks, waders, and many migratory bird species. This is one of the best birdwatching sites near Addis Ababa. Lake Kuriftu Located beside the renowned Kuriftu Resort, this picturesque lake offers a relaxing stop surrounded by lush vegetation.
