On this excursion you will visit the oldest monastery in Crete, the historic Arkadi
Monastery, which played a major role in the liberation of the island from the Turks. We
continue to the village of Margarites, one of the largest pottery centers in Greece. There
you will have the opportunity to admire the handmade ceramics and learn the secrets of
pottery and tradition. Don't forget to taste the local Cretan cuisine in the picturesque
town of Rethymnon, overlooking the beach.
