Off the Beaten Path - North/Northeast Sapa (Matra – Ta Phin – Bac Ha) SAPA UNTAMED - Step off the well-worn trail and head north, a region most visitors never reach, stop in Matra - Ta Phin village to meet the Red Dao people, famous for their intricate embroidery and centuries-old herbal bath tradition, continue on to Bac Ha, the "White Plateau" of the Flower Hmong, where a vibrant hilltribe market still bursts with color every week, just as it has for generations. This route is for travelers who want to see the other Sapa - slower, more authentic, and far from the crowd.

We meet you at 204 Tran Quang Khai, Hanoi to catch the bus at 6h30 am to Sapa. At 12h00 pm, driver picks you up at bus station to Sapa, You arrive Sapa town, refresh and have lunch at restaurant.

2Ta Phin Village
From 13:00: Depart Sapa town and trek into Matra and Ta Phin village, home to the Red Dao ethnic community. Known for their intricate hand embroidery and centuries-old herbal bath tradition, the Red Dao welcome visitors into a way of life largely untouched by mass tourism. Walk through terraced hillsides and forest paths, meet local artisans at work, and — if time allows — unwind with a traditional Red Dao herbal bath, a remedy passed down through generations. Overnight stay in a homestay or guesthouse immersed in local village life.

Back to Sapa Town, take a rest in Luxury hotel

4Bac Ha Market
Continue north to Bac Ha, known as the "White Plateau" and home to the vibrant Flower Hmong community. Explore the region's rolling highlands before visiting the famous Bac Ha hilltribe market (on market days), where color and tradition burst to life just as they have for generations — handwoven textiles, local produce, and the daily rhythms of highland life on full display. Return transfer to Sapa in the afternoon/evening.
