Rouen and Giverny are connected by the Seine — and by one of the great stories of French art. Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in Rouen in 1431. Claude Monet walked into his garden at Giverny in 1883 and never really left, painting it obsessively for 43 years. This private tour from Le Havre connects both places and both stories in a single bucket list day.
In Rouen, your guide walks you through the Gothic cathedral Monet painted 30 times and the square where Joan of Arc died. In Giverny, you step inside the painting — the lily pond, the Japanese bridge, the weeping willows.
