Learn from the Phin Coffee team, who brew coffee in our Hoi An cafés and roast our own beans. This class connects Vietnamese coffee origins and processing with what you taste in the cup, using Arabica from Cau Dat and Robusta from Gia Lai.

Rather than simply following recipes, discover how to adjust phin brewing to suit your taste. Create our signature coffee drinks with personal guidance in a shared class of up to 10 guests at Phin Lounge An Bang.

What to expect

Go beyond coffee recipes in this two-hour, hands-on Vietnamese Coffee Master Class at Phin Lounge An Bang.

Begin with Vietnamese coffee origins, growing regions and processing. Explore Arabica from Cau Dat and Robusta from Gia Lai, learning what makes them different.

Brew each coffee separately using two traditional phin filters. Discover how grind size, coffee-to-water ratio and brewing time influence flavor, then taste the coffees side by side to compare aroma, acidity, sweetness, bitterness and body.

Next, mix our refreshing Cold Brew Citrus and make your choice of Coconut Egg Coffee or Salted Coffee, guided step by step by the Phin Coffee team.

Finish with homemade banana cake and the coffees you have created. No previous coffee experience is needed.
