We're at the corner of 7th Avenue and 51st Street (7th Ave & W 51st St), right next to Times Square. Hop on the bus, get comfortable, and have your camera ready. We're going to leave the tourist bubble of Manhattan behind, go through the tunnel, and dive into the true essence of New York.
We will meet at THE MANHATTAN Hotel at Times Square—52nd Street and 7th Avenue—at 9:00 a.m. (sharp), and then head to the train station to take our first ride to Battery Park. The Battery, formerly known as Battery Park, is a public park located at the southern tip of Manhattan Island in New York City.
We’ll board our second mode of transportation, a ferry that will take us directly to Liberty Island. During the trip, the guide will share the most important details about the island we’re heading to. Once we arrive on the island, we’ll begin to appreciate each of the features of the Statue of Liberty, and we’ll have plenty of time to explore and take photos of one of New York’s most iconic landmarks. After taking in this beauty, we’ll continue on our boat to Ellis Island (Immigrants’ Island), where we’ll have the opportunity to visit the Immigration Museum and learn about the history of the foreigners who arrived in the United States (it was the customs house where immigrants arrived and is now a museum honoring them). In addition to the museum visit, we’ll take a walk around the island, enjoying an excellent view of the Manhattan skyscrapers and the Statue of Liberty in the background.
And to wrap up our tour, those who wish to spend a little more time at this marvelous site are welcome to do so and return on a later ferry; those who wish to return to Battery Park will be escorted there as well. And here we conclude our tour of the Statue of Liberty.
