Explore the origins and rise of Nazi Germany on a five-day private historical journey with Dutch researcher and storyteller Martin van Elmpt of Tour Guides for You.
From Munich to Vienna, we follow the places where Hitler lived, where the Nazi movement developed and where persecution became organised terror. We visit Munich and Dachau, Berchtesgaden and Salzburg, Linz, Mauthausen and Hartheim, before continuing to Vienna.
The journey connects political history with the people and places behind it: the rise of Hitler, the Nazi leadership, concentration camps, persecution and the road towards war and genocide.
This is not a fixed coach tour. These are five private days together, with time to explore, discuss and adapt the itinerary to your interests and knowledge. Specific locations, themes or family-history connections can often be incorporated.
