The Transfăgărășan is a paved mountain road crossing the southern section of the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. According to TopGear it is the "best road in the world". Join us on a full day tour to see the beauty of the spectacular Făgăraș Mountains and learn how the Transfăgărășan Road was built. Enjoy a brief stop at Bâlea Lake and afterwards we head towards Vidraru Dam an imposing 166 meters high dam. On our way back to Sibiu we'll make a quick stop to visit the Clay Castle.

Transfagarasan Highway (Pass by)
If you want to experience “the best road in the world” and take some of the most beautiful pictures, then Transfăgărășan is the perfect place to visit. After the many of curves of Transfăgărășan we will finally arrive at Bâlea Lake, a wonderful Glacier Lake located at an altitude of 2034 meters.

After a short sightseeing break at Bâlea Lake we will be making our way to the imposing 166 meters high Vidraru Dam.
