    One of the highlights of the expedition awaits us today – the legendary archaeological site of Tikal. Located deep inside the Guatemalan rainforest, Tikal was once one of the most powerful cities of the Maya world. Massive pyramids rise above the jungle canopy while monkeys, toucans and tropical birds create a truly unique atmosphere. During the guided visit we explore temples, plazas and ancient ceremonial complexes surrounded by dense rainforest.

    After breakfast we depart back towards Belize to visit the impressive archaeological site of Xunantunich. Later we continue back to Mexico and arrive in the city of Chetumal.
