Ever wondered what it feels like to walk along the bottom of the Caribbean Sea?
With Sea Trek, you can—and no diving or swimming skills are required. Put on your specially designed helmet, descend 20 feet (6 meters) beneath the surface and breathe naturally as you walk along the ocean floor.
Instead of watching the underwater world from above, you'll be right in the middle of it, following a guided path as tropical fish swim through the water around you. Handrails along the route make the experience comfortable and accessible even if you've never tried an underwater activity before.
Your adventure also includes 30 minutes of snorkeling, giving you two completely different ways to experience the Caribbean—swimming above it and walking beneath it.
No scuba certification. No complicated diving equipment. Just the extraordinary feeling of walking and breathing beneath the Caribbean Sea.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Please arrive 30–45 minutes before your tour at the Bobby’s Marina Kiosk, next to the Water Taxi Gazebo and Aziana Restaurant. Look for the Sea Trek sign. Transportation and Bobby’s Marina parking fees are not included. No grace period for late arrivals.
What to expect
Enjoy 30 minutes of snorkeling in the Caribbean before experiencing the highlight of your adventure: walking along the ocean floor with Sea Trek.
Put on your specially designed helmet and descend 20 feet (6 meters) beneath the Caribbean using an easy 20-step ladder. Once on the seabed, breathe naturally inside your helmet as you walk along the ocean floor, following a guided underwater path with handrails.
Look around as tropical fish swim through the water around you and experience the Caribbean from a completely different perspective—walking beneath the sea instead of simply swimming above it.
After your adventure, return to Bobby’s Marina, where you can easily take a taxi or the nearby Water Taxi back to the cruise port.
Please allow approximately 2–2.5 hours. Duration may vary depending on weather, group size and operational conditions.

- No Port, No Pay: Cruise guests receive a full refund if their cruise ship does not call at the Port of St. Maarten at all.
- Physical Requirements: Guests must be able to walk, climb a ladder and equalize their ears, and should be in good overall physical condition.
- Medical Restrictions: This activity is not recommended for pregnant guests or guests with back/neck injuries, history of seizures, ear problems, vertigo, recent surgeries, heart conditions, epilepsy, claustrophobia, hypertension or asthma. Please review these restrictions carefully before booking.
- Accessibility: Wheelchairs, scooters and walkers are not permitted.
- Waiver: A medical and liability waiver must be completed before participating. An adult must sign for minors.
- Medical Restrictions / Voluntary Cancellation: Please review all restrictions before booking. Guests who cannot participate upon arrival due to a listed medical restriction, or who voluntarily decide not to participate, are not eligible for a refund.
- Flights: Please allow at least 8 hours between completing Sea Trek and your scheduled flight.
