Here, majestic landscapes, pristine white-sand beaches and remarkable wildlife come together on an island just a half-hour boat ride from Loreto.
Cruise around the island looking for sea lions, bird colonies and dolphins, then slip into the crystal-clear water to snorkel and discover the marine life below. This is the Sea of Cortez that Jacques Cousteau famously called “the aquarium of the world.”

Discover Coronado Island, the largest island in Loreto Bay National Park and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by the remarkable wildlife of the Sea of Cortez. Enjoy a half-hour panoramic boat ride across the Sea of Cortez, taking in the island's unique rock formations along the way. Coronado is also home to a colony of sea lions, which you'll have the opportunity to observe in their natural habitat during your journey around the island. Then jump into the crystal-clear waters of the Sea of Cortez for swimming and snorkeling, experiencing the remarkable marine world that Jacques Cousteau famously called “the aquarium of the world.”

After snorkeling, stop at one of Coronado Island's pristine beaches for a delicious lunch surrounded by the natural beauty of the island. Once you've enjoyed your meal, lay back on a beach chair and enjoy the turquoise-water view, take another swim or simply relax on the sand with the Sea of Cortez stretching out in front of you. Then board the boat for the panoramic ride back to Loreto, taking in the island's coastline and the Sea of Cortez along the way. From your first glimpse of Coronado's rock formations to your last look back from the boat, this is a day spent experiencing one of Loreto's most remarkable natural settings.

- Mobility & Boat Boarding: Guests must be able to board and exit the boat independently, including stepping across the gap between the dock/beach and boat. This tour is not wheelchair accessible.
