After meeting your tour conductor, travel by bus for approx. 2 hours to Tsukuba and 75 min more to Tsuchiura. Upon arrival, proceed to the viewing area and enjoy the fireworks from a reserved table and chair seating area. Located on an elevated section approximately 3 meters above the riverside, the seating offers views across the entire fireworks venue while providing the comfort of tables and chairs throughout the event. The competition has been held since 1925 and is considered one of Japan's leading fireworks events. A bento dinner prepared by a local Ibaraki railway lunchbox maker will be provided at the venue and may be enjoyed from your seat before the fireworks begin. To accommodate traffic restrictions and large crowds, arrival at the venue may be earlier than necessary, resulting in waiting time before the performance begins. Please note that the walk from the parking area to the viewing section may take approximately 15 to 20 min, and up to 30 min during busy periods.
