From Alexandria to the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum and back, in one comfortable day, with a licensed Egyptologist who knows the road and the stones.
Your guide picks you up from your Alexandria hotel or port with an air-conditioned vehicle. You travel to Cairo (about 3 hours), straight to the Giza Plateau. You stand at the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, see the Sphinx, and visit the panoramic view point where all three Pyramids align for the photos people frame.
Then on to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the brand-new home of Tutankhamun's complete treasures shown together for the first time in history. Your guide brings every gallery to life.
Lunch is at a local restaurant in Cairo, not a tourist trap. Comfortable return drive to Alexandria. Back at your hotel or port by evening.

1Alexandria
Your guide and manager will be waiting for you outside the Cruise docking spot. They will be holding a sign showing your name. It will be quite easy for you to identify them. Then you will proceed to your vehicle and start your tour. your guide will talk to you not only about history of ancient Egypt, but also about modern Egypt, Life, religion, politics and all aspects of Life in the country. The journey from Alexandria Port to Cairo will take (Approx. 3 Hours).

2Pyramids of Giza
After about 3 hours on the road from Alexandria, you arrive at the Giza Plateau. Your guide walks you to the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, explains its construction and history, and gives you time at the panoramic view point for clear photos of all three Pyramids. Optional: enter inside the Great Pyramid ($11 USD per person), camel ride along the desert ridge. Then on to the Sphinx, where your guide explains its history and the latest theories about its true age.

3Grand Egyptian Museum
You continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum ever built. Your guide walks you through the soaring atrium past the towering statue of Ramses II, up the Grand Staircase, and into the Tutankhamun galleries where his complete collection is displayed together for the very first time in history. You see the gold mask, the chariots, the throne, and the canopic shrines, all with stories told by someone who actually studied them.
