This hands-on workshop turns one of Japan’s best-known lucky charms into a souvenir designed entirely by you. With a maximum of four travelers, you can create at your own pace in a relaxed setting and receive help from an English-speaking host. Paint pens make the activity approachable even for complete beginners. Your finished maneki-neko is ready to take home as soon as the workshop ends.

Meeting and pickup
On your Map app, search "Tokyo Tourist Lounge Asakusa". It is located on 5th floor of the building. There is a black sign board for Tokyo Tourist Lounge Asakusa place on the first floor of the building. The first floor is a Buddhist item shop. You can find the Miffy rabbit store across the street.
What to expect
No painting experience is required, and the small group is limited to four travelers, so you can work at a relaxed pace and ask for help whenever you need it. The workshop takes approximately one hour and is suitable for solo travelers, couples, friends, and families. When your design is complete, take your finished maneki-neko home immediately as a one-of-a-kind souvenir and a lasting reminder of your time in Tokyo.

- Children aged 4 and under may attend free of charge if they do not participate in the painting activity. A child ticket is required for each child who will paint and receive a maneki-neko figurine.
