Oslo Forest and Folklore Hike

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

Join us for a three-hour guided hike through Oslo’s forest trails, just outside the city centre. Designed with input from Viking history and folklore experts, this tour combines fresh air, scenery, storytelling, and a taste of Norwegian outdoor culture.

As we walk beneath the trees, your guide brings Norway’s past and present to life through Viking legends, folklore, trolls, and traditions that still shape everyday life today. Keep an eye out for hidden trolls as you discover myths passed down through generations.

We pass a popular ski hill while exploring Norway’s deep connection to skiing, before continuing to Trollvann lake. Here, we stop for Norwegian trail snacks and a hot drink, such as coffee or cocoa. There may also be the chance to swim, weather permitting.

Perfect for travellers who want to escape the city, reconnect with nature, and discover the stories within Norway’s forests.
