What to expect

For those looking for a true challenge, Pedra da Gavea Hike is an unforgettable experience!

We begin the journey by hiking through the Atlantic Forest of Tijuca National Park toward the summit. The hike takes us to a steep rock-climbing section known as Carrasqueira, a nearly vertical rock face approx. 30 meters high!

But the effort is well worth it: from the top of Pedra da Gavea, at 844 meters above sea level, we enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro! At the summit, we’ll take a break to admire the surrounding nature, enjoy the views, take photos, and rest before beginning the descent, which includes a rappelling section.

And don’t worry: throughout the entire hike, in addition to the expertise of the guides, we provide all the necessary safety equipment.
