Visit Hirase Brewery, the oldest sake brewery in Takayama, founded in 1623 and known for its signature brand, Kusudama. Visit Harada Brewery, a historic sake brewery in Takayama’s old town founded in 1855. Known for its signature brand Sansha, the brewery continues to make Hida local sake using the region’s clean water, quality rice, and cold mountain climate. Located along the charming Sanmachi Street, it is a great stop for travelers who want to experience authentic sake culture in the heart of Takayama.
