Experience whale watching with a purpose. Unlike many standard tours, every trip is led by an experienced Marine Biologist who shares fascinating insights into humpback whale behavior, migration, communication, and conservation throughout the journey.
Our tours are intentionally operated with small groups, allowing for a more personal experience, better wildlife viewing opportunities, and plenty of time to ask questions.
Cabo Trek is actively involved in photo-identification research, contributing valuable data that helps scientists monitor individual humpback whales and better understand their population. Meeting and pickup
The Office is inside the Tesoro Hotel Local A-20, right at the marina of Cabo San Lucas. Here some reference points: 1) We are close to dock M-O 2) Located next to the white with a red strip Light House. 3) Behind the "D'Right Joint" restaurant. 4) Ask local people about us
What to expect
After check-in at our office, we'll head to the marina and board our boat. Before searching for whales, we'll cruise past Cabo San Lucas' most iconic landmarks, including The Arch, providing excellent opportunities for sightseeing and photos.
From there, we'll venture into either the Pacific Ocean or the Sea of Cortez, depending on weather, sea conditions, and whale activity. Our captain and marine biologist work together to select the best route, maximizing your chances of unforgettable whale encounters while ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
Throughout the tour, you'll have the opportunity to observe humpback whales in their natural habitat and may witness behaviors such as breaching, tail slapping, spy-hopping, and playful interactions.
