2San Juan la Laguna
Discover the magic of **San Juan La Laguna**, one of the most colorful Tz’utujil Maya towns on the shores of Lake Atitlán. Wander through vibrant streets decorated with umbrellas and stunning murals, visit traditional weaving cooperatives where artisans preserve ancestral techniques, and explore local art galleries. 3Santa Catarina Palopo
Santa Catarina Palopó is a picturesque Kaqchikel Maya village on the shores of Lake Atitlán, reached by a scenic drive from Panajachel. Less frequently included in traditional tours, the village offers colorful painted houses, narrow streets, beautiful lake and volcano views, and an authentic glimpse into local life. Traveling by car allows visitors to enjoy the spectacular lakeside road and discover a quieter, culturally rich community away from the most visited tourist routes.
