  7 : 30 am We start the tour at the meeting point Yo Amo Petén at the indicated time. From there we start to Tikal National Park, where we will begin the guided tour. In Tikal, we will explore the main temples, squares and archaeological areas, while the guide shares information about the history and culture of the Mayan civilization

  The guide is duly certified and has an in-depth knowledge of the history, archaeology and culture of Tikal National Park, one of the most important sites in the Mayan world. During the tour, you will share information about the main structures such as the Great Jaguar Temple, Temple II, the Central Acropolis and other emblematic areas of the site. The guide will adapt the pace of the tour to the group, ensuring a comfortable, informative and safe experience, with time for photos and questions. Its aim is to provide an enriching experience that allows us to understand the greatness of the ancient Mayan civilization in Tikal.

  Great Plaza

  Prepare to cross the threshold of time and enter the epicenter of the Mayan world. At this main stop of the tour, you will not only see history, you will live it, climb and breathe. Tikal’s Grand Square opens before you surrounded by the towering rainforest, ready to reveal its best-kept secrets. The Perfect Photoshoot: We will capture your triumphant arrival in the square. You will have the perfect angle and time needed in front of the majestic Temple I (The Great Jaguar) to take home that iconic photo you will remember all your life. Conquer the Heights in Temple II: We will climb to the top of the Temple of Masks. From its upper platform, you will enjoy a privileged and spectacular panoramic view of the entire square, the same perspective as the ancient kings. Northern Acropolis: We will climb this monumental royal burial complex. Here we will look for the two colossal masks carved in stone.

• Temple IV (Pass by)

  The Ascent to the Jungle Roof: We will climb through a staircase provided for visitors until we reach the crest of the temple. Coming out of the treetops, you will feel like you are floating on an infinite green ocean. A Movie View (Star Wars Connection) : You'll stop at exactly the place that made movie history. This peak served as the location for filming the iconic scene from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), depicting the moon of Yavin 4, the hidden base of the Rebel Alliance. You can recreate the famous shot where the rebel keeper watches as the ships take off over the jungle. The Total Panoramic of Tikal: From this privileged height, you can see the ridges of Temples I, II, III and the Grand Acropolis protruding majestically among the dense vegetation. It is the only perspective that allows you to size the true and colossal size of this ancient megacity.

  Lost World

  We leave behind the main paths to enter Mundo Perdido, the oldest and most mysterious archaeological complex in the entire city. This place was the scientific and spiritual laboratory of Tikal, where the Mayan sages unlocked the secrets of time and the cosmos long before the Great Square was built. The Great Astronomical Pyramid : You will stand in front of a colossal 32-meter-high structure that served as the city's first large observatory. From here, Mayan astronomers calculated equinoxes, solstices and the movements of the sun to organize their agricultural and sacred cycles. Unique Architectural Style: Unlike the rest of Tikal, here you will notice a different architecture, with clear influences from the great metropolis of Teotihuacán (in central Mexico), demonstrating that Tikal was the center of a commercial and political network of continental scope.

It is the perfect time to share photos, talk about the experience and relax under the shadow of the jungle. Forget the traffic and logistics; just relax, take a nap or enjoy the scenery as we take you back comfortably to your hotel doorstep on the picturesque island of Flores.

Option A : If you are staying on the colorful Isle of Flowers, we will drop you off at your hotel door to rest and enjoy the afternoon by the lake. Option B : Connecting to your Night Flight (With Bonus Track!): Have you got a return flight to Guatemala City at 8:00 PM? Perfect! We'll drop you off at the Isle of Flowers around 4:00 PM so you'll be free on your own. You can walk along its picturesque cobblestone streets, take pictures with colored facades or enjoy a lakefront café. At 6:00 PM sharp, transportation will pick you up to take you directly to Mayan World International Airport, ensuring you are there two hours in advance needed for your check-in without any stress.
