  The day begins comfortably in your hotel lobby, where your guide will be waiting to welcome you. To facilitate identification, your guide will have the name of the main traveler and the reservation details. From there you will embark on a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes towards Tikal. As we leave the inhabited areas and gradually venture into the jungle, the landscape changes and the magic of Petén begins to be felt.

  Great Plaza

  You will arrive at the Great Plaza, the monumental heart of Tikal and one of the most impressive spaces of the ancient Mayan city. In front of you are two of its great icons: Temple I and, on the opposite side, Temple II or the Temple of the Masks, from whose platform you can enjoy a magnificent view of the plaza and contemplate the Great Jaguar in front of you. To the north you will discover the North Acropolis, an important ceremonial and funerary complex related to the ruling dynasty of Tikal. Its buildings and structures form a fascinating complex that allows one to understand the long history of this ancient city. To the south is the Central Acropolis, formed by ancient palaces, courtyards, and buildings used for residential and administrative functions of the Mayan elite. The Grand Plaza brings together the greatness of Tikal in one place: monumental temples, ancient acropolises, stelae, and the history of one of the most powerful Mayan cities in the world.

  Temple I

  The Temple of the Great Jaguar is the great icon of Tikal and one of the most recognized images of the Maya world. Its imposing silhouette dominates the Grand Plaza and, surrounded by ancient structures and the Petén jungle, creates one of the most impressive scenes of the entire visit. Standing in front of this monument is one of those moments that make the experience in Tikal special: an opportunity to admire its grandeur, understand the importance of the ancient city, and capture some of the most memorable photographs of the tour.

  Tikal Temple III

  Temple III is one of the great structures you can admire during the tour of Tikal. Its impressive architecture rises among the jungle vegetation and offers a different perspective of the greatness of this ancient Mayan city. Surrounded by trees and ancient complexes, the temple is part of one of the most characteristic landscapes of Tikal.   Temple IV

  Temple IV is one of the most impressive places in Tikal and one of the great highlights of the tour. Upon arrival, the immense structure appears among the jungle as if emerging from a green ocean, creating one of the most spectacular views in the entire Mayan world. From above, the jungle stretches to the horizon, and among the immense canopy of trees, the peaks of other Tikal temples rise in the distance. It is a scenario that allows one to appreciate the true magnitude of this ancient city and feel how the jungle and Mayan architecture form a single landscape.   Lost World

  Lost World is one of the most fascinating corners of Tikal, a place where Mayan architecture and the jungle create a truly extraordinary scene. Upon arrival, you will find a large square surrounded by ancient structures that show the greatness and antiquity of this city. Walking through this complex is entering one of the most special areas of Tikal, surrounded by the tranquility of the jungle and the sounds of nature. The feeling of exploring a place that remained hidden among the vegetation for centuries makes every step part of the adventure.   Tikal National Park

  After this incredible visit to the ancient city of Tikal, we will head to one of the best restaurants in the area to enjoy a delicious lunch and recharge our energy. Then, we will begin the return to Flores, once again enjoying the landscape and putting an end to an unforgettable day in the heart of the Mayan world.

  At the end of this incredible experience, the service concludes with the transfer back to your hotel or to Flores. If you have a flight later that same day, you can make the most of your time. You will have the opportunity to visit the charming Island of Flowers, walk through its picturesque streets, enjoy the beautiful views of the lake, and take photographs before your return. At 6:00 PM, the transfer will take place from Flores to Mundo Maya International Airport, so you can take your return flight after having visited one of the most beautiful islands in the heart of Petén.
