The cenotes of the Riviera Maya are a bucket-list experience for divers from around the world, and Dos Ojos is one of the most famous. This experience gives certified divers the opportunity to get a taste of that unique underground world.
The name Dos Ojos, meaning “Two Eyes,” comes from the two large, circular cenotes located close to each other. Here, you’ll explore two very different routes: the Barbie Line and the Bat Cave.
The Barbie Line is famous for its spectacular natural light effects, crystal-clear water and beautiful stalactites, stalagmites and columns. On the Bat Cave, you’ll have the chance to surface partway through the dive inside a huge air dome, where hundreds of bats can be seen hanging from the ceiling and flying overhead.
Two completely different environments, incredible visibility and the feeling of exploring beneath the jungle make Dos Ojos a truly memorable diving experience and a chance to discover one of the Riviera Maya’s most remarkable cenotes.

What to expect
This experience is for certified Open Water divers only, with a minimum of 20 logged dives and diving experience within the past 6 months.
We’ll meet at our dive center, where you’ll get fitted with your scuba equipment before we head into the jungle to Dos Ojos. Once at the cenote, your dive professional will brief you on the dives before you enter the water.
You’ll explore two of Dos Ojos’ iconic cavern routes: the Barbie Line and the Bat Cave. Both dives reach a maximum depth of 25 ft / 8 m and last approximately 45 minutes each.
These are cavern dives, not cave dives. You’ll remain within the cavern zone, where natural daylight is visible from the entrance, while exploring the clear waters and unique underwater environment of Dos Ojos.
Expect an incredible combination of jungle scenery, crystal-clear water and fascinating cavern formations as you experience two of Dos Ojos’ most famous dives with an experienced dive professional.
