Holmen Husky is a racing and breeding kennel with more than forty years behind it. This is not a show put on for visitors — it is a working home built around one animal: the Alaskan husky, the finest long-distance runner alive. No creature on earth covers ground the way these dogs do, day after day, mile after mile. That is what we breed for. That is what we race.
It is private — never more than two guests per guide — so nothing is rushed. Afterwards there is time with the dogs, and a fire, drinks and stories in the Lavvo, where you hear what a life given to racing huskies is really like.
Short, fast, and honest. Suitable for beginners; no experience needed.

What to expect
Meet the Athletes is your way in. You are welcomed into how we actually live and work with our dogs — the breeding, the training, the bond between musher and team that forty years has taught us. You meet the dogs up close: the champions, the young prospects, the whole pack of athletes. Then you ride behind an active team, an experienced guide driving, and feel what these dogs were built to do.
