13 Days Arun Valley Trek From Kathmandu lies in the Makalu-Barun National park between Sagarmatha and Makalu. It is not only picturesquebut a diverse region with stunning terraced landscape and prosperous in the wilderness. It is less touristy area and an exceptional route, which has been discovered by the trekkers who love to walk through the isolated valleys and hidden valleys.The trek begins from Tumlingtar after an hour flight from Kathmandu and make a half loop in the region ending the trek in Lukla. During the trek, you cross various ethnic settlements of Rai, Sherpa and Limbu people. It offers amazing trekking experience and offers the beauty of natural paradise of eastern Nepal.
We pick up all the travelers from their hotel and airport from Kathmandu.
After picking up you from your place we will fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar today to start the trek in the Arun valley. It is flight about one hour with picturesque views of lush hills, gorges, and the eastern Himalayas. We are spending the full day at Tumlingtar. Over night stay at Tumlingtar.
Trek from Tumlingtar we follow the trail alongside Arun River. We head northward and stop for at Baluwabesi. The surrounding is really exciting and the view is unbelievable.We trek further through the dense woods to Marduna.
Today, we climb up to hill through the forest. View of green forest and gorge entices us to walk further. It is less explored and only a few trekkers have gained this opportunity to get the fascinating views of Arun valley. From the top of the hill, we trek down to Chikhuwa khola and stop for lunch at Ghote bazaar, a small settlement with some hotels Then, we steadily trek to Dobani. Overnight stay at Dobani.
It is a pretty tough day for us to climb up all the way uphill gaining about (700 m) of elevation. We cross many small streams and reach to Tallo Phedi. Then we prepare to climb up further to Salpa Phedi. Salpa Phedi has got amazing hospitality. Overnight stay at Salpa Phedi
We hike up to the top of the hill through the rocky and tough trail. Still, the views are tranquil and breathtaking. When we walk in the woods, it's going to help us stay cool. The landscape is dominated by the colorful grassy lands and open meadows. Heading through the rhododendron forest, we rarely meet human settlements. When we reach Guranse, we are going to gain about (1200 m) of elevation. Overnight stay at Guranse.
We are dealing with a tough trail and should cross a pass at (3350 m) and continually trek down through the rhododendron forest and reach Dhaka. We can have some rest here for a while. We then walk slightly uphill to our today's campsite at Sanam. Overnight stay at Sanam.
It is relatively difficult to trek down through the steep trails so we start early and walk with a gradual pace and reach at Guidel and still trek down to Hongu Khola. After we cross the bridge , we climb steadily up through the terraced lush hill and further ahead to a tiny Rai village at Bung. They are one of the ethnic castes of Nepal. Overnight stay at Bung.
We are tired enough with a several days walk so relatively shorter walk today is really appreciable. Today we walk for (4 hrs) straight uphill to Boksam Gompa. Boksam Gompa is our stop. It is a striking village with religious spirits. We spend the whole day walking around the village and exploring the culture and spiritual aspects of the local people.
We trek to Vasme today. We pass Gaikharka crossing the pasture through the untidy jungle and the main trail leads us across Hinku Khola. Crossing a long suspension bridge over Hinku khola, we climb up to the vertical valley of Sibuje, also known as Vasme. Overnight stay at Vasme.
We begin our trek passing the tiny Vasme village and trail leads us through the rhododendron forest. Pangom La Pass lies on the trail today to cross pass. We get some awesome sight of the snow-covered Mera peak and several other mountains peaks in the region. Walking a bit further, we reach the picturesque valley at Pangom. Local people offers wonderful hospitality as it is a less touristy area. They have rich and unique culture traditions. Overnight stay at Pangom.
It's a final day of walking through the isolated mountain foothill of Arun valley. We are going to meet the Everest region trail today. After a slight trek down, we climb up for the last steep and challenging trails. Crossing the Kari La Pass at (3145 m) at the top, we climb down through the steep trail and conclude our trek at Paiya. Over night at Paiya.
We leave Paiya, a beautiful village overlooking a tiny tributary of the Dhud kosi river. Today, we are going to walk to Lukla. We begin trekking down; then head uphill and pass various Sherpa village. We cross a steel bridge over Thado koshi river. Arriving at Lukla, we get refreshed and en dour tiresome and exciting trekking. Overnight stay in Lukla.
We take another beautiful morning flight back to Kathmandu and drop you at your hotel.
