Along the way, you’ll discover bush tucker, bush medicine, and stories of the land’s ancient custodians.
In the awe-inspiring Cathedral Gorge, your Gija guide will share the cultural significance of this sacred space through singing, storytelling or drawing. Before exploring ancient rock art along the cavern walls. From here we'll journey up Picaninny Creek to the lookout, offering panoramic views and insights into the park’s fascinating geological history.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Bellburn Airstrip, within Purnululu National Park 18km from the Purnululu Visitors Centre Roads are well signed and easy to follow Kingfisher tours is the first gate as you drive into the carpark our vehicles are parked at our little airside hut .
After the trek, we return to Cathedral Gorge Carpark for your vehicle. If you are staying within the park our guides will be happy to give you directions back to your accommodations.

Join us for an unforgettable self-drive, tagalong tour through the stunning Purnululu National Park, guided by your experienced local Aboriginal guides. Start your adventure at Bellburn Airstrip at 10:00 AM or meet us at Cathedral Gorge car park at 10:30 AM. From there, we’ll lead you on a captivating Bush Botanicals Walk through the geological phenomena that is the giant beehive-like domes. As we trek your guide will share their knowledge of bush tucker, medicines, and the area’s rich cultural and geological history.

2Cathedral Gorge
After a breathtaking trek through the majestic beehive domes, you'll arrive at the awe-inspiring Cathedral Gorge—a natural amphitheater of towering red rock and a tranquil pool. Here, your guide will share this sacred space with you in a unique cultural way, whether through singing, storytelling, or sand drawing, as we enjoy a light meal and have a rest. Continuing on, we head up Picaninny Creek to the Lookout for breathtaking views of the landscape. This culturally immersive and enriching experience will leave you with lasting memories of the Kimberley’s natural and cultural beauty.
