Passenger insurance, in an SUV Chevrolet Suburban or Audi sedan with A/C , cold purified water, ice, etc. In case that you want to stop to eat something, I know the best spots. Give you explanations interacting with locals, history, etc. When tourists ask me to stop by the houses of the artisans, I steer away from the most touristy places and stop with true artists and Masters; buying something or not, you can be sure that you will be looking at high-quality craftsmanship or as people say; "the real thing".
You can "play it by ear" and stop or skip some places. Normally takes seven hours each route at your own pace.
